My Experience
Prior to joining Basic Business Concepts, David was the controller and CFO for Kit Pack Company and its affiliate Bayjet, Inc. Both companies are government contractors producing repairs parts and upgrade kits for aircraft and other transportation equipment. Recently Kit Pack completed a 12 million dollar contract to supply machine gun mounts for humvees operating in Iraq. David worked closely with DCAA and DCMA to meet government contract requirements. He has experience computing Labor, Fringe and Overhead Rates as well as Percentage of Completion reports for progress payments.
David also has over 17 years experience with real estate development and management, specifically with the acquisition and development of shopping centers, malls, parking garages, and apartment complexes. His responsibilities included daily financial operations and capital expenditures for thirty-five partnerships and corporations throughout the country. He helped to develop software for fast and accurate financial reporting from the multiple offices to the corporate office, improving overall cash management. David has led a number of software installations and has hands on experience with various accounting and manufacturing software applications such as AccPac, Great Plains, MAS 90/200, QuickBooks, Bristol, PeachTree, TimberLine, Masco, and various manufacturing software including shop controls.
He majored in Business Management and Accounting and earned his BS from John F. Kennedy University. David also has completed numerous additional courses and seminars in systems design and implementation, accounting procedures, cost reduction, customer service.
